Hi and thanks for visiting my website. Well it's not really my website. It's more of
a site on the web. Sort of a site on the web, where I happen to be in sight. (I
get paid for doing this by the way.)
Alright introductions. My name is Vir Das, I am India's youngest comedian. Actually
that's kind of like saying I am the worlds' most popular red winged dodo. Anyhow,
a lot of you in the sub continent (fancy term for India) would be familiar with
my work. I am touring the country every week (do crappy hotels and unpunctual airlines
qualify as touring?) performing in all of the metros. (Metros: fancy term for Delhi,
Bombay, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur and other such cities where
people have very little clue what a stand up comedian actually does). I am 19 years
old and built like a Greek god. (Indian way of saying I am 27 and short). Here is
a picture for your reference (this site is strangely resembling a matrimony ad,
better change track).

And I know what you're thinking, I look different in the photograph, well I am proud to say I have been hitting the gym. And plus, most people who watch me on TV are usually under the influence ofwelllets just say their viewing experience is artificially enhanced.
Anyway, I have been back in India for three years now during which I have written
six stand up comedy specials:

3. Bored of the things.
4. Who let the Das out?
5. Son of a switch.
6. VIRagra.
There are downloads from all of them available on the website. (Fancy way of saying:
It's free! Indians Enjoy!) There is a lot of cool stuff on the site, there are links,
message boards, some more info about me, tour dates, downloads and something called
java. I don't know what Java is. I think he was the villain from star wars. Anyway,
